The Bangladesh cricket team had a full two-and-a-half-hour practice session this morning at the HPCA stadium in Dharamsala, where they will play their opening World T20 qualifier against the Netherlands tomorrow.
There was concern about the practice session going ahead as there was heavy rainfall yesterday, but it was bright sunshine and blue skies today.
It was not all bright for the Tigers as left-arm pace sensation Mustafizur Rahman, who is recovering from a side strain suffered during the Asia Cup at home, did not bowl a single ball during the net sessions, reports our correspondent from Dharamsala.
The team management later said that they were assessing his situation, but also said that the team for tomorrow’s match has been finalised.
Therefore, it is understood that the bright young pace sensation’s debut during the qualifying matches for the ICC T20 World Cup may be delayed.
Bangladesh will face Netherlands on March 9, Wednesday. On March 11, Friday Ireland will lock horns with Tigers while Oman will meet Bangladesh on March 13, Sunday.
