Eid-Ul-Azha Sept 13
As the new moon was not sighted in the Bangladesh sky today, the holy Eid-Ul-Azha , the second biggest religious festival of the Muslims, will be celebrated on September 13.
The decision has been made after a meeting of the National Moon-Sighting Committee at the Islamic Foundation here in the capital this evening.
Eid-Ul-Azha, the celebration of sacrifice, however, will be observed in Saudi Arabia and other Middle East countries on September 12.
As a ritualistic practice, Muslims across the world slaughter cattle on Eid-Ul-Azha as a mark of sacrifice towards God.
