Bangladeshi killed by BSF on Burirhat border

A Bangladeshi national was shot to death and two others were injured by members of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) on Burirhat frontier in Kaliganj upazila early Friday, reports the UNB.

The deceased was identified as Mahubur Rahman, 38, son of Naju Pramanik of Malgara in the upazila.

BGB sources said BSF members from Saat Bhandaria camp opened fire to the three Bangladeshi nationals near pillar no 915 around 3:30 am while their going to the bordering area, leaving one of them killed and two others injured.

The injured were rushed to Rangpur Medical College Hospital, said BGB-15 commanding officer Lieutenant Colonel Ahmed Bazlur Rahman.
