The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) gained more than 16 points to stand at over 4,219 points after an initial surge during the first half of trading on Sunday, the week’s first trading day.
Shares and mutual funds worth over Tk 0.86 billion changed hands with 152 issues gaining, 62 declining and 27 remaining unchanged.
The key index gained 30 points last week with average turnover over Tk 2.04 billion, more than 8 percent lower than the previous week.
