The new chairman of the first war crimes tribunal has asked the government to probe the identity of those who hacked Justice Nizamul Huq’s email account and recorded his alleged Skype conversation with an expatriate legal expert.
Appointed as the head of the three-judge tribunal this week, Justice A T M Fazle Kabir observed that the hacking constituted a breach of his predecessor’s privacy and subsequent publication of transcripts of the alleged conversation was done to delay the trial process.
