A man was killed and five others were injured by lightning strike at Amu tea garden area in Chunarughat upazila of Habiganj district on Tuesday night.
The victim was identified as Lokhon Vumiz, 50. He was a labourer of the tea garden, according to a news agency report.
Nirmalendu Chakraborty, officer-in-charge of (OC) Chunarughat Police Station, said that Lokhon Vumiz was struck by the lightning strike in the area at 9:00pm and he died on the spot.
The injured were admitted to Chunarughat Upazila Health Complex, the OC added.
