Athar Ali Khan played his first match for Bangladesh in 1988; after retiring from cricket he was the voice of Bangladesh in cricket. Right now he has one more job to do for Bangladesh Cricket.
Athar Ali Khan is now the chief selector of Bangladesh Women Cricket Team. This year during the reformation he was assigned to this job. And he’s ready to take the challenge.
Though Bangladesh Women started their journey in cricket not very long time ago but they are yet to pull up a good reputation towards their name. Athar Ali Khan had something to say about this scenario –
“It’s true we don’t have a good reputation in this sector; the performances are not satisfying. But my aim will be to improve the current situation, and this won’t be a easy task to do.”
“Without any doubt, by far this is the most challenging job for me. But I’m up for it; the cricket board have faith on me thus they have assigned me this task. So, I have to give them a good return,” he added.
Bangladesh Women Cricket Team will be leaving for Ireland on 2 September to play against them. The cricket board already declared a 22-women squad for the series.
