Recently Sri Lanka have lost the T-20 series against New Zealand and this defeat has affected their rating point and ranking as well. They’re now in the second position; though West Indies, Sri Lanka and Australia are very close to each other in terms of rating points but the fraction made the difference.
In the last 8 T-20 matches West Indies have won 4 of them and in one of them they’ve score 232 runs against South Africa. So they deserve to be in the top after all of these. On the other hand Sri Lanka’s bad performances in the field have put them into critical situation. Last 6 matches they played in 5 of them they tasted the defeat.
Recently they’ve lost against New Zealand by 9 wickets which cost them the series as well as the ranking.Though West Indies is on the top of the T20 ranking their test and ODI ranking is not very satisfying. They’re 8 in test and 9 in ODI.
