On Saturday it’s the much awaited match of this Asia Cup tournament. India will face off Pakistan. 2 years ago, in the same tournament Pakistan beat down India by only 1 wicket. Though the format is different the man who clinched the victory mark for Pakistan is still out there, Afridi. And this time he will be leading his team against the number 1 T20 team.
This rivalry never gets old, it was there, it is there and it will be there forever. The Medias have put this match on hype. On the other hand people have got their emotions back on this game. All the tickets are sold, though the match will be played in Bangladesh. The crowd of Bangladesh is equally excited as much as the supporters of both India and Pakistan.
Pakistan and India played 10 matches between them in Asia Cup, and the contest is equal. Both team won 5 times. But this time the format is different. And another fun fact is they never met in the finals of Asia cup, may be God has put the organizers away from being pressure cooker. Well, that’s just a statics report which can be blown away anytime. But Pakistan have a better winning percentage than India in T20.
India have won two T20I series this year, one against Australia and one against Sri Lanka and they are looking pumped up for the Asia Cup as they also defeated Bangladesh in the first match. On the other hand Pakistan is pretty much in the same condition after playing the PSL. All the national team players performed up to the mark and also they are still the vibe and mood of playing aggressive cricket in this tournament. For Pakistan it will be their first match in this tournament and India here might take the advantage of playing one more match than them, as they have better knowledge of pitch right now.
