Star cricketer of Bangladesh Cricket team Shakib Al Hasan has grabbed the top position as the highest wicket taker in Twenty20 cricket as a spinner after snitching two more in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) final.
Shakib’s 2 wickets haul helped Jamaica Tallawahs to dominate Guyana Amazon Warriors and grabbing a nine-wicket victory in the final.
The southpaw of Bangladesh Cricket returned 2-25 in four overs to take his T20 wicket tally to 242 from 209 matches.
Shakib, however, is below six other bowlers in the list – all of whom are pacers.
Caribbean all-rounder Dwanyne Bravo is in the top with 341 wickets while Sri Lankan pacer Lasith Malinga has been unable to improve on his 299 scalps due to an injury since February this year.
Pakistan’s spin star Yasir Arafat has 280 wickets, South Africa’s Alfonso Thomas 263, Pakistani Azhar Mahmood 258. Australia’s Dirk Nannes (257) positioned sixth with Shakib right below him in the list.
