Muhith came up with the government’s formal reaction on Sunday evening to the World Bank cancelling the fund, saying it had “credible evidence” of a high-level corruption two days back.
The global lender suspended the fund for the project in September last year after Canadian authorities had launched investigation against SNC-Lavalin, a firm short-listed as consultant of the project.
