After ending the series against Zimbabwe, the dashing opener of Bangladesh cricket team Tamim Iqbal went to pass his vacation. It has been heard that Tamim has taken a paternal leave and during Asia Cup, he will not come to play. Tamim wanted to give time to his wife and newborn baby. But the selector of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Minhazul Abedin Nannu has given different information.
On Sunday, in an interview season of a private channel, Nannu informed, “Tamim Iqbal will return before Asia Cup and join the team after giving time to his family. So, Tamim will be available for Asia Cup”.
The main reason behind Tamim’s come back is T20 World Cup. Though the Asia Cup will start before World Cup, but International Cricket Council (ICC) has clearly informed that within 2nd February the squad for T20 World Cup must be announced by every country. For this reason, Tamim will be included in the squad of Asia Cup.
