4 Bangladeshis killed in Saudi road crash

Four Bangladeshi nationals, including a couple, were killed and two others injured in a road accident at Al Kharj city in Saudi Arabia on Saturday afternoon, reports UNB.

The accident took place when a truck hit a private car carrying six Bangladeshi nationals, leaving Abbas Ali, 45, his wife Rehana, 32, residents of Bhogti village in Keshabpur municipality, and two unidentified people dead on the spot, said Matiur Rahman, no-2 ward councillor of Keshabpur municipality.

The injured were identified as Afrin Priti, 5, daughter of Abbas Ali and Saiful Islam, hailed from Jhenidah district, he said.

Abbas had been working as a driver in a company there, he added.

The tragic incident occurred when Abbas was returning home along with his family and three other relatives after performing Umrah hajj there, said Matiur.
