DSE turnover hits nearly 5-mth high
The Dhaka Stock Exchange ended Tuesday’s trade maintaining an upward trend throughout the day as it registered a turnover of around Tk 9.4 billion –- highest in the last over four-and-a-half months.
The DSE General Index closed 1.30 percent higher at 4413.91 points, gaining 56.74 points on the week’s third business day.
Of the traded issues, prices of 188 advanced, 66 declined and 169 remained unchanged.
The turnover had crossed Tk 1.5-billion mark barely within 30 minutes into the day’s trade and reached Tk 5.02 billion halfway.
