Pakistan’s Test captain Misbah-ul-Haq has spoken about England’s tour of Bangladesh 2016. He said that if England team don’t come to Bangladesh to play the series, it will be a huge loss for a cricket-loving country like Bangladesh.
England’s tour to Bangladesh fell in doubt after terror attack at Holey Artisan restaurant in Gulshan, Dhaka on July 1. 17 foreigners were killed in that attack. English ODI captain Eoin Morgan felt unhappy with security situations in Bangladesh and also asked to play at a neutral venue.
Pakistan Test captain Misbah-ul-Haq said about this series after drawing four-match Test series by 2-2 against England at The Oval, “It’s their (England’s) decision but if a team is not playing at home, it’s really not good for cricket. People in Bangladesh love cricket. They have a craziness for it.”
“If they are deprived of hosting cricket, it could be a big loss for them.”
Currently Bangladesh Cricket Board are discussing with England and Wales Cricket Board about the series. So far, everything is looking positive. A team from England will land in Bangladesh soon to observe security situations.
