ODI squad to be named after warm-up games

Final squad ahead of England series will be named after three practice games, selector Minhajul Abedin Nannu informed.

The Tigers are had fitness camp to prepare themselves for a busy schedule. Now they are doing fielding practice under fielding coach Richard Halsall. The practice with bat and ball will start from 20 August.

Five days later, a practice match will be played. Rest two of the three warm-up games will be played on September 3 and 5. National team selector Minhajul Abedin Nannu said, “As BCL (Bangladesh Cricket League) is starting from September 20, we are giving the cricketers the chance to play three one-day warm-up games.”

“These three practice matches will be played on August 25, September 3 and 5. After that, we will announce our ODI squad for England series by 5 to 7 of the month.”

Nannu also informed that those who will be called up for the ODI series, they can participate only in the first match.

“Those who will be picked for ODI series, they can play only the first game. As the Test series is later, so the players who will picked for Test series, but not ODIs can play 2 BCL matches,” the selector added.

England cricket team are supposed to land in Bangladesh on September 30. They will play 3 ODIs and 2 Tests against the Tigers.
