Flower retailers through a new digital tool

Deshiphool.com, an online e-commerce portal working exclusively with the flower retailers of the country, has signed an agreement with USAID’s Agricultural Value Chains (AVC) Project in Bangladesh for empowering the flower retailers and farmers, reports the UNB.
Michael Field, Chief of Party USAID-AVC and Bushra Alam, CEO of Deshiphool.com were present during the ceremony with other officials of USAID and Deshiphool.com, held at the Deshiphool.com office in the city recently.
Bushra Alam expressed her ambition with Deshiphool.com saying “We would like to work with flower farmers to retailers to strengthen the flower market value chain and want to provide the end consumers with unique design flower bouquets using ICT enabled platform.”
Deshiphool.com has been working tirelessly with the flower retailers of the country by using ICT based services to enhance the quality of the flower industry to bring them at par with global industry practices by integrating their products with the online platform.
They also focus on empowering the women farmers who are contributing to production of flowers in the country.
USAID’s AVC project has been engaged with the market actors in enhancing the value chains of some of the crops in the agricultural sector.
In alignment with Deshiphool.com, they have partnered up to support each other through joined activities and knowledge sharing experiences to empower the retailers and flower farmers to nurture a healthy business environment with technology in the forefront.
In connection with this effort, Deshiphool.com has launched a mobile application named ‘Deshiphool’ exclusively for the flower retailers to take their online integration a step further.
This application will let the retailers upload their daily available fresh flower products to their online portfolio viewable at the deshiphool.com website for instant online purchase through Cash on Delivery, bKash or VISA/Master/Diners Club cards.
